TEACHING

I have experience teaching all levels of academic music. In particular, I specialise in tutoring Music Theory (ABSRM) and Music GCSE, tailoring my lessons to the syllabus and the individual's requirements, whilst ensuring the lessons are enjoyable and rewarding. I have an 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams, and have guided numerous students through their Grade 5 theory and beyond in order to aid their musicianship. I myself have ABRSM Grade 8 Singing, ABRSM Grade 8 Clarinet, ABRSM Grade 7 Piano and ABRSM Grade 5 Theory, so I am very familiar with the board. I teach the Edexcel Music GCSE syllabus, and all my pupils have achieved the highest grades.

I also teach practical music and acting; I enjoy acting-through-song work and honing performance technique. I can help children prepare for Acting or Musical Theatre LAMDA exams and enjoy helping my students to boost their confidence, build their repertoire and work on interpretation in performance.

I have experience teaching a wide range of ages, and teach both adults and children. I have experience in a classroom setting, having taught Music at primary schools with Sing Education, and I have experience of teaching one-on-one in person and online. I am currently teaching in London and online and have an updated Enhanced DBS.
